Recent work:

  • Make Music Day strategic development, project management and delivery 2017-2021, growing the grassroots festival from 180 performances in 2017 to 3,500+ performances in 2021 involving 30,000 participants, 100+ partners across the sector and reaching audiences of 300,000 people online and in-person.

  • Managing partnerships with multiple organisations locally and nationally as part of the Tower Hamlets Cultural Network.

  • Developing and implementing a new programme for Sound Connections and English Heritage, Reverberate.

  • Writing successful bids to Arts Council England (projects grants and NPO funding) and numerous trusts and foundations

  • Developing, writing and implementing Mahogany Opera Group’s long term business plan, including artistic planning, audience development, finance, fundraising and management

Recent producing work:

  • Currently working with director Lucy Bradley on the development of a new outdoor opera for families based on the children's story The Promise

  • Producing strands and projects for Make Music Day UK including Global Folk Challenge, Make Music Day song competition, MMD Schools and MMD broadcast, including online and in-person activities

  • Producing Make Music Day events including a New Orleans-style parade through London Bridge culminating with a gig at The Scoop

  • Olivia Award Nominated The Firework-Maker’s Daughter co-produced with Opera North, Royal Opera House and Watford Palace Theatre; UK tour and tour to New Victory Theater, New York

  • Kurt Weill’s Street Scene – cast and orchestra of 100+ performers; Young Vic, UK tour, tour to Paris and Barcelona to sell-out 1500 seater venues

  • Immersive meditation opera Lost in Thought co-produced with The Barbican

  • Commissioning new operas from composers including David Bruce, Stephen Deazley, Emily Hall, Rolf Hind, Olga Neuwirth, Laurence Osborn, Errollyn Wallen

EDUCATION & LEARNING PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT

Recent work:

  • Managing portfolio of education projects with 100 schools and youth settings in Tower Hamlets, with children and young people aged 0-25, working with partners including the LSO, Urban Development, City of London Sinfonia, Conductive Music and Spitalfields Music

  • Singing strategy development across Tower Hamlets including vocal projects, choir development and professional development for teachers and music leaders

  • Inclusion work in partnership with Drake Music, including establishment of Soundbox inclusive ensemble and embedding inclusive practice within THAMES as part of the Alliance for a Musically Inclusive England

  • Youth Voice work with Sound Connections and English Heritage

  • Developing and implementing Snappy Operas – opera education programme involving 1,500 children from Cornwall to Cumbria
